Gabriela Lavatelli

Architectural Designer


Gabriela joined the practice in October 2015. She graduated as an Architect in Caracas, Venezuela at Universidad Simon Bolivar and studied a Masters in Advanced Architecture and City Project in Universidad de Alcala in Spain in 2012. She specialises in sustainable architecture focusing on energy efficiency, low carbon embodied materials and bioclimatic design to create healthy internal spaces and to minimise the impact on the environment. She has been trained as a Passivhaus Designer and has obtained the Advanced Level Retrofit Manager certificate From the AECB after completing the Carbonlite retrofit Training course. 

She is currently working on several new build and retrofit projects. Some of the most relevant are Burcott Manor, a low carbon new build project in Somerset and the Old Train Station, a retrofit project in Cambridge. She defines herself as a passionate researcher looking for new systems, materials and techniques to improve performance and comfort in buildings.
