At the heart of our Castleford project and located in the centre of the town’s shopping district is Henry Moore Square, which was designed as part of our regeneration initiative and later televised in Kevin McCloud’s ‘Big Town Plan’. The scheme adds breadth to an otherwise narrow site by creating a circle of granite paving that radiates in concentric waves from the centre, stretching outward to the wider environs of the town. It features bespoke street furniture designed by the practice, which can be repositioned at the council’s discretion, allowing the square to be cleared for events.
