Last week marked World Mental Health Day which once again highlighted alarming statistics regarding mental wellbeing in the UK workplace. Reports from the RIBA and Architects Journal earlier this year stated that mental health is a significant issue within the architecture profession. In order to do more to actively promote and support the good mental health and wellbeing of our staff, we have teamed up with The Norfolk Wellhouse to offer all our staff a 10 week mindfulness-based resilience course. Now halfway through, the feedback from the team has been overwhelmingly positive, reporting that they are more conscious of their mental wellbeing, feel supported by colleagues and have increased confidence in managing challenging situations.
