Walsingham Road sees the development of twenty eight residential units (Class C3) with associated highway, landscape works and a new pumping station on the edge of the rural village of Binham in North Norfolk. The development, on behalf of Broadland St Benedicts, will mend a corner of the village, which has been eroded by piecemeal development in previous years. The design is informed by the particular character of Binham and was developed alongside all stakeholders to ensure that the new site will complement and enhance Binham’s unique qualities.
The housing will, in part, provide affordable homes for people with a recognised local need. The remainder will comprise market accommodation, which in accordance with national planning policy, is needed to cross subside the development of affordable housing.
