We are delighted to have received planning approval for a replacement home in South Norfolk!
Replacing a dated and inefficient bungalow, the new home is contemporary yet sympathetic to the local vernacular. We are proposing to construct the house from structural insulated panels (SIPS), with a ground source heat pump and solar panels supporting the energy requirements of the house. Minimising both operational energy in use and embodied energy in construction.
Designed to be almost invisible from the road the new home has been orientated to take advantage of long views down the site and to maximise solar gains. Natural materials are proposed to reflect the location and for their environmental and ecological benefits. With the addition of a new wildflower meadow and hedgerow to enhance the natural landscape for wildlife and biodiversity.
