Anthony Hudson
Anthony is the founding director of the practice and for over 30 years has designed buildings that have continually received recognition for setting new standards in architectural design. He is currently Visiting Professor of Architecture at Norwich University of the Arts and previously held positions as external examiner for Cambridge, Kingston and Newcastle Universities. Anthony is Deputy Chair for the Design Review Panel for the South East of England, Former President of the Norfolk Association of Architects and a fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts. He writes extensively on architecture and design and its impact on economic issues and the positive development of society. His book, An Open Mind: The Work of Hudson Architects was published by Artifice Books in 2012.

Hannah Wooller
Hannah returned to Hudson Architects in 2017 to lead the practice’s rapidly growing portfolio of heritage and culture projects. She has brought with her a wealth of experience having spent 6 years working on innovative conservation projects in Manchester. Hannah is currently leading the design team developing proposals for a HLF funded redevelopment of Aldeburgh Museum and Council Chambers in the Grade 1 Listed Aldeburgh Moot Hall. She has also completed the initial stages of an exciting project to completely restore the Winter Gardens, a Grade II listed building and rare survival of a Victorian seaside glasshouse on Great Yarmouth seafront.

Matt Wood
Matt joined Hudson Architects in 2019 as Head of Housing, bringing with him extensive experience in residential design from dense high-rise city-centre developments, medium-sized housing developments for regional house-builders and a number of one-off homes. Matt trained at the Bartlett School of Architecture, and worked at Conran & Partners in London from 1987 to 2010, for nine years as a Director. Matt has a comprehensive knowledge of modern methods of construction, sustainable design and urbanism and has lectured and written articles on historical and contemporary residential design. He writes about contemporary rural design on his blog Ruralise.

Louise Boddie
Louise joins us having most recently worked as Senior associate with Penoyre & Prasad leading and delivering education, higher education and workplace projects. ⁠ ⁠ Her most recent focus has been on transforming existing buildings into exciting new proposals. ⁠ ⁠ Louise studied at the MSA - Mackintosh School of Architecture and has relocated from London to Norwich to join us at Hudson Architects

Patrick Lovatt
Patrick joined the practice as part of the Keith Reay merger with Hudson Architects. Current work includes conservation projects, domestic extensions and barn conversions. Patrick has extensive experience of the construction process and detailing and a wealth of local knowledge having worked in Norfolk for over 20 years.

Jack Spencer Ashworth
Jack is an architectural designer with over 12 years’ experience working in a broad range of sectors from private residential to exhibition design and large scale commercial projects, including many theatres in the UK and around the world. Since joining Hudson Architects in 2017 he has been involved in numerous successful competition entries and has recently delivered a flagship new building for Norwich University of the Arts. Jack is also an artist and has exhibited his paintings throughout the country, including a solo exhibition at Frameless Gallery in 2014.

Sarah Tunnicliffe
Sarah joined Hudson Architects in 2013 and is responsible for all Finance administration within the practice. Sarah began her career in recruitment for the construction industry before going on to run her own business.

Sandra Muller
Sandra joined Hudson Architects in February 2015 and recently led the team on the refurbishment and extension of the Grade II listed Diss Corn Hall arts centre. She is also working on a private Passivhaus development on the outskirts of Norwich. Sandra has an M.A in Heritage Conservation and a wealth of experience working on existing buildings and conservation projects including two award-winning projects for Trinity Hospital and work for the British Museum.

Tom Booen
Tom joined Hudson Architects in 2018 having recently graduated from Kingston School of Art with distinction. He has worked on many residential projects across East Anglia, including one-off houses and a competition winning co-housing scheme in central Cambridge which was shown at a RIBA exhibition on social housing. He was also on the design team for a new apartment and hotel complex in Taiwan. Currently, Tom is assisting on the design of a contemporary cob and straw bale house in Norfolk.

Georgie Day
Georgie was previously director at FACtotum, a practice she founded in 2016 specialising in crafted, humane architecture. She is a Public Practice Associate, was previously an associate lecturer at Central St Martins, and writes regularly for the #RIBA Journal.

Lewis Williams
Lewis recently graduated from The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL with Distinction.⁠ ⁠ He has previously spent time working around the UK and in Copenhagen, where he focused on well crafted, innovative and sustainably driven research and construction projects.⁠ ⁠ His interests centre on people, and how their physical interaction with the built environment will shift as social, economic and environmental challenges come into play, dedicating his thesis project to raising awareness of the climate crisis through design.⁠ ⁠ He is also a keen model maker and illustrator!⁠

Andrew Evans
Andrew gained his Part I and Part II at the Glasgow School of Art, going on to Graduate first in his class with a MSc in Environmental Architecture in 2018. Andrew is currently heading a collaborative project between Hudson Architects and Anglia Ruskin University to bring research into the everyday workings of the practice. He is also embedded in several projects including competitions, commercial buildings and individual dwellings. A published researcher with expertise in all aspects of sustainable design, Andrew has a particular interest in healthy building techniques and occupant comfort.

Daniel Swift Gibbs
Daniel joined the team at Hudson Architects in 2008 and is currently working on a number of projects including one-off houses, housing developments and community buildings. Daniel completed his BSc in Architecture at The Bartlett School, UCL, where he graduated with first class honours and was commended on the Dean's List for Academic Achievement. His work was published in a collection of the school's best work of the decade, and he has returned to the school as a guest tutor and critic. Previously, Daniel & spent 3 years designing, refurbishing and running his own restaurant, & worked with community interest companies and organised volunteer-led projects to design and hand-build characterful small buildings and follies.

Sam Steel
Sam joined us in 2014 after completing his undergraduate degree at the Manchester School of Architecture. He has been involved in a number of our large-scale projects, including the delivery of our recently finished project, the Machrie Hotel on the west coast of Scotland. Within the practice, Sam has played a key role implementing the use of BIM, and is responsible for training our staff in the use of 3D drawing software, ArchiCAD. Sam is currently working on our halls of residence project for Norwich University of the Arts.

Olivia has recently joined us after graduating from Norwich University of the Arts, where she was awarded the Clancy Consulting prize for Structural Excellence for her final major project. She is currently working on the Duke Street Riverside Project.

Anna Moncur
Anna Moncur recently graduated from @sheffhallamuni with a First-class honours in BSc Architecture. ⁠ ⁠ Her final year project has been nominated for the @architectsjournal Student Prize and RIBA Yorkshire Student Award. ⁠ ⁠ Anna’s work is centred around humane, cultural, and sustainable architecture with her dissertation researching how architecture can aid the prevention of Malaria in developing counties sustainably.⁠

Katey Oven
Katey recently graduated with a First Class Honours from Loughborough University.⁠ ⁠ With a fine art and textiles background, Katey’s hands on, multidisciplinary and experimental approach to architecture has won her numerous awards throughout her studies, including Loughborough’s 'Most Innovative Project' in her final year of study.⁠ ⁠ Previously, her work has been submitted for the RIBA President’s Bronze Medals award and had her model displayed in their London exhibition.⁠ Katey is currently working on several one-off homes projects, and our research and development project CobBauge.

Hannah joined Hudson Architects in 2014 as a Practice Administrative Assistant as part of a business and administration apprenticeship run by City College Norwich. Hannah manages the day to day running of the Practice, which includes operational responsibility for HR, Sales, IT, PR and Marketing.
